My future job: Being a political scientist

Hello everyone! In today's blog I'm going to talk about my future job. I'm studying Political Science at present. I'm hoping to work in my professional area, even if some people think that political scientists are future unemployeds.

The political scientists can participate in multidisciplinary research teams, political analysis for decision making, political advice and political management in organizations. Also, we are able to work in the public sector at its different levels, as well as in the private sector and civil society. I imagine myself being an influential political asesor that would do good for Chile through the important leaders of the country.

It would be usually an indoor work, for the paperwork and the idea of working in the "black box": this is how some authors explain the place where the processes of social demands by institutions and rules take place, to later transform them into decisions and policies. But I hope I could travel a lot, being an important assessor in an international level, the travel would make my job more dynamic and I would love to meet important politicians from around the world.

According to the page of the Senate of Chile, the assessor usually gets paid between 600 thousand and 2 million chilean pesos. So, depending on who would hire me, I could get a really good salary. However, if I concentrate in municipalities, I could do a mayor in descentralization in my university.

The goats of my dad

Hello, my public! Today I'm going to talk about my dad's pet, to be more exactly, his goats. My dad bought his first goat in 2019, Pascuala, when she was a young goat in a farm that sell goats for eating (:'c). When my dad told the owner that he wanted the animal because he wanted to have her as a pet, the owner was really happy. Indeed, the seller asked to my dad if he can bring the goat to the farm, so he can see her. He bought a harness and gave her blankets and fodder (not mixing it) for her kind of bedroom. But goats are flock animals, that means that they need to live in group in order to survive. So, when my dad let her alone (because he went to buy food, work or something like that), she bleated so hard, calling "her flock". My dad, time later, adopted a dog named Ramona from an animal rescue center. In one way, because he like dogs, but in the other way, because Ramona can be the company that Pascuala needed.
